After over a decade of using a cumbersome website built solely on hand-coded HTML, Cathy decided to make the upgrade to an easy to use, simple to maintain Content Management System (CMS). Constructed using the WordPress CMS, Sheep Canada’s new website allows Cathy to fully preview her articles before publishing, easily move elements of the site around, host promotions and for the first time access in depth tracking statistics for her site courtesy of Google Analytics.

This is the first formal website for the RK MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Committed to bringing the highest quality of life to their residents, the RK (as it is known locally) involves the wider Antigonish community with their residents whenever possible. Their new website is built to be easy to navigate and simple to update by the staff, allowing them to keep the (often distant) loved ones of their residents up to date on the activities in the RK, promote community volunteering and highlight the many successful are, education and fitness projects that have been held.

After many years of having minor issues updating their own website, the Board of the Antigonish Highland Society have upgraded to a Content Management System which allows them to quickly and easily make updates and changes to their own site as needed.

Patterned after the Antigonish Highland Games website, the showcase event for the Society, the straightforward layout and easy navigation allow for the easy addition of content without things becoming crowded or disorganized.

The Antigonish Highland Games has built a worldwide reputation based on authenticity, attention to detail, and hospitality. The 150th Games will be no exception. The week long schedule will be jam packed with new and enhanced competitions featuring athletes, pipers, drummers, and highland dancers from across the country and around the world. There will also be the blend of Scottish flavoured ceilidhs, clan activities, and concerts.

Having engaged visitors and competitors alike via social media and online over the last few years, it was time for the Antigonish Highland Games to change to a website that allowed the many volunteers involved to update their respective events quickly and easily. The new site is neatly organized with each event or competition having its own section, reducing confusion and allowing often complex information to be broken down into more palatable chunks.
